A manufacturing business in the Swansea SC area is currently seeking to hire 1 Maintenance Manager to join our day shift team as a full-time employee, Monday through Thursday, from 6-4:30p.
Maintenance Manager Job Description
Day to day, their role is to maintain building operations and ensure that the facilities are safe and functional at all times. This position responds to emergency repairs and maintenance on machines as needed, by diagnosing the problem, acquiring the materials to and completing the repair. There are scheduled days and times for preventative maintenance as well, in accordance with the production schedule and the state of the machinery.
Our plant primarily uses large stamping presses ranging from 100-600 tons. Ideally, this individual has a background in press operations and is experienced in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, CNC repairs, etc. skills as well as Preventative Maintenance Scheduling, Large Press Knowledge and Facilities.
This role would service these presses, the feeders to the presses, and any additional building maintenance deemed necessary. This Maintenance Technician would report directly to the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities:
•Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
•Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
•Performs mechanical skills including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
•Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
•Performs pre shift inspections on equipment and workplace.
•Maintains equipment for proper operation, cleans filters, lubricates blowers and compressors, grease valves, checks blow downs and bag houses, clean scales.
•Maintain a safe, clean work environment by keeping work areas clean, which will include sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing.
•Operate a forklift, and any additional equipment necessary to make for an efficient work environment.
•Utilize company software and processes daily.
•Attend all staff meetings.
•Wear appropriate safety equipment.
•Note all repairs in documentation logs
•Partner with front office or supervisor regarding budgets for repair parts and inventory
•Communicate clearly and effectively with our staff and customers.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements:
•High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
•Two (2) years experience preferred.
•Certifications in electrical.
•Lift and Forklift experience required.
•Ability to perform tasks that include walking, climbing equipment, working within confined spaces and lifting up to 100 lbs.
•Attention to detail and problem solving skills
•Working knowledge of PC operations and software.
•Experience with Servo feeders is a plus.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
•Ability to safely work in an outdoor environment with frequent exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise.
•Ability to perform tasks that include frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing equipment, and working within confined spaces to access and inspect equipment.
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
