Duties:
A driver's license and good driving record is required, as you will be driving company vehicles. Company telephones are provided.
Perform intermediate semi-skilled work in the painting, maintenance and repair of apartments, and rental homes. Do related work as required.
Ability to move or carry objects or materials such as sinks, counter tops, debris, and floor tile Lifting requirements rarely exceed 75 lbs. Understand and abide by Fair Housing laws which are regularly reviewed by the team. A company vehicle is provided from office to job sites, and back. Basic handyman skills. An ability to be flexible in regard to tasks changing during the day based on needs at properties.
Examples of work:
Perform a variety of painting, making units ready for move in, small repairs and general maintenance of apartments, and homes. Repair small patches in preparation for painting. Helps repair doors, windows, hinges, locks, etc. Help repair sub-floors and floor coverings. Paint entire apartments to include walls, shelves, cabinets and trim. Perform rough carpentry; assist with plumbing repairs. Assist with electrical, carpentry and mechanical repairs. Perform related tasks as required. We will offer extensive training as well.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
Some knowledge of common methods, materials and tools used in carpentry, painting, electrical and mechanical trades; ability to operate and care for hand and power tools used in building trades; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates. Must be able to follow instructions and directions.
Education and knowledge:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and a minimum of 1-year experience in general maintenance work.
