Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to maintain and repair various equipment and systems. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, excellent customer service skills, and the capability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
•Preparation of maintenance schedules for equipment as per the manufacturers recommendation.
•Optimization of maintenance schedules based on production experience.
•Responsible for achievement of company goals with regards to First Time Quality, Internal Delivery, Productivity, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Housekeeping, Scrap and Overtime through proper maintenance of the equipment and the building.
•Coordination of maintenance supply with support of other departments.
•Coordination of maintenance activities with external resources and supervision of outside contractors working at Alupress LLC.
•Responsible for 5S system in the manufacturing area.
•Assures compliance with approved methods and quality standards.
•Supervises the day-to-day maintenance activities and people in the areas of safety, efficiency, teamwork and housekeeping.
•Coordination of installation of production equipment and production cells to meet customer timing and quality in cooperation with production department
•Training of operators on daily maintenance requirements
•Maintaining proper records for all maintenance activities
•Maintain a high level of employee satisfaction.
•Implementation of 5S program in production area.
•Works with other departments such as Materials, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, Sales & Engineering, Purchasing, etc.
•Supports planning of the layout of equipment, workflow, manufacturing methods under the aspect of maintenance requirements.
Qualification/professional experience
•Knowledge in the fields of hydraulics, electrical and plumbing
•Knowledge in maintenance concepts for production facilities
•3+ years experience in equipment maintenance for machining centers and automation preferred
•Metric drawing reading skills required.
•Toolmaker apprenticeship preferred.
