Position Summary

Primarily responsible for supporting building and machine maintenance while also assembling, welding, cutting, and shaping metal and other materials to produce high-quality components and products. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, and proficiency in operating various fabrication tools and machinery.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine project specifications.

- Operate fabrication equipment, including saws, welders, grinders, press brakes, and CNC machinery.

- Cut, shape, and assemble metal and other materials according to design specifications.

- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or arc welding as required.

- Measure and inspect finished components to ensure accuracy and quality standards.

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company safety protocols and OSHA regulations.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any fabrication issues that arise during production.

- Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to optimize manufacturing processes.

- Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations in proper working order.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.

- Must be able to move freely within the office and work area.

- Requires independence, sound judgment, and discretion in performing job duties.

- Great hand and eye coordination.

- Exposure to noise, dust, and metal particles in a manufacturing setting.

- Standing, bending, lifting, and working with hands for extended periods.

- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in welding or fabrication is a plus.

- Previous experience in metal fabrication, welding, or manufacturing preferred.

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools.

- Knowledge of various metals and fabrication techniques.

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
