Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various equipment and systems within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices, electrical systems, and excellent customer service skills. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency and safety across the organization.
· Responsible to keep production machinery on line in support of the production goals of the company and reports to the Plant manager and the production supervisor.
· Responsible for installation/startup/programming of new and overhauled equipment in support of production.
· Responsible to support emergency repairs and outages in support of production.
· Understand/troubleshoot/and install Motors/motor controllers/PLC controls/and electrical, electronic, and mechanical controls for installed machinery and equipment.
· Coordinate planning with Production manager, Manager Secondary Operations, Production Planner, Tool Maintenance to accomplish necessary maintenance and repairs on production and support machinery and equipment.
· Responsible for maintenance and repairs for the entire facility including building, support services in or on the New Castle production facility.
· Ensure that quality policies are adhered to during preventive maintenance, equipment repairs and equipment upgrades Take care of root cause analysis and corrective actions together with the Plant Manager and Production Supervisor (general foreman).
· Work with the plant manager and production supervisor to facilitate continuous improvement activities in support of production goals and lean initiatives.
· Responsibilities include that all repairs and upgrades and existing safety and OSH requirements are met during the course of maintenance and equipment repairs and upgrades
· Employee will support the goals and needs of the company and will assist in any and all areas of production/maintenance deemed necessary by the Plant manager/Production supervisor and/or Ferguson management.
· Self-starter, motivated, must be capable of working independently and as a team with others.
· Journeyman Industrial Electrician or equivalent verifiable experience
· Variable speed AC/DC motor controller experience a plus
· PLC controller experience, and computerized control system knowledge
· Hydraulic/pneumatic and electro hydraulic and pneumatic control system experience
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
. Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel for field service assignments as necessary.
