Maintenance Technician Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform various maintenance tasks in an industrial setting. This role requires a proactive individual who can work as part of a team, ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.

Primary Duties:

- Assist in loading trucks for jobs so they can leave on schedule.

- Prepare boxes of Ionizers and prefilters based on what is needed on the Truck Load Sheet.

- Help Load cells/filters.

- Assist service tech on the job site.

- Load carts with the correct filters

- Pull carts to the tech as required.

- Get parts from the truck for repairs.

- Assist in repairs as needed.

- Help keep customers' areas clean or cleaner than when we got there.

- Assist with running the washer.

- Help clean cells, ionizers, and filters by loading or unloading the washer as needed.

- Special Projects.

- Take care of any special projects as assigned. i.e., clean used air cleaners for resale.

- General Shop cleanliness.

- Mop floors as needed, especially near the washer and back or trucks to keep oil from tracking to the rest of the shop.

- Keep work areas clean and tidy.

Position requirements:

Able to lift 45 pounds, Driver's license, boots with safety toe.

Experience that helps,

- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in maintenance roles preferred.

- Skills in electrical work are highly desirable.

- Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and management is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
