OC San is currently looking to fill the role of a Maintenance Supervisor (Mechanical).
Under direction, supervises, assigns, reviews, and participates in the work of staff responsible for comprehensive OC San maintenance and repair programs, including treatment plant and recycled water equipment and related facilities, fleet, energy co-generation, wastewater collections, and/or mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems; ensures division operations and maintenance functions meet all applicable laws, regulations, and OC San policies; provides complex staff assistance to OC San management in areas of expertise; performs the most technical and complex tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility; and performs duties as assigned.
When assigned to Mechanical Maintenance:
The Maintenance Supervisor will plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review, and participate in the work of crews responsible for the maintenance, repair, service, rebuilding, and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery found in wastewater treatment plants, collection systems, pumping stations, and related facilities such as pumps, valves, electric motors, electrical and electro-mechanical equipment, gas engines, and related equipment and facilities. The Maintenance Supervisor will ensure the timely completion of preventive and predictive maintenance programs and plan and oversee the testing of mechanical equipment on an ongoing basis.
Specifically, this Maintenance Supervisor position has a large focus on leadership, employee development, mentorship and change management around the implementation of maintenance best practices. Some of these programs will include Planning and Scheduling and Total Predictive Maintenance. This position will require critical thinking and problem solving in all aspects of supervision and technical expertise in maintenance.
This Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for applying District policies and procedures to assigned staff. The successful candidate will work with other Operations and Maintenance divisions to provide support for their activities and for their requests for repairs or changes in the plant. The Maintenance Supervisor will support the CIP program by participating in meetings, reviewing submittals, and supporting commissioning activities.
In addition, the Maintenance Supervisor will assist in the development and implementation of divisional goals, objectives, policies, and programs. This person will assume leadership responsibility for assigned maintenance work groups, services and activities to ensure 24-hour safe, compliant and efficient operations of reclamation plants for both routine, abnormal and emergency situations.

Hiring Salary Range: $136,385.60 - $150,342.40/Year (starting salary will be within this range based upon qualifications)
Disaster Service Workers
All OC San employees are designated Disaster Service Workers through state law (California Government Code Section 3100-3109). Employment with the OC San requires the affirmation of a loyalty oath to this effect. Employees are required to complete all related training as assigned, and to return to work as ordered in the event of an emergency.
