TITLE: Maintenance Specialist, Operational Performance - Asset Management
PERFORMANCE COACH: Manager, Operational Performance – Asset Management
Role Focus - this role has focus on Project Management skills in a powerplant operations environment ideally, as well as technical competency.
The Maintenance Specialist, Asset Management is responsible for supporting Tampa Electric engineering, maintenance, operations, and asset management functions related to all systems (motors, pumps, fans, valves, steam cycle, etc.). A primary function of this position is the project management of equipment maintenance strategies into Asset Management systems including WorkMan and eSOMS but will also support fleetwide mechanical programs including thermodynamic and mechanical performance monitoring and modeling, precision alignment, equipment lubrication and other industry best practices.
Required: Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Certifications associated with the duties of this position including computer software, predictive monitoring, equipment certifications (Thermography, Vibration Analysis, Tribology, Alignment)
Normal M-F work week. On a rotating basis we will be on call 24/7 for a week at a time, typically 5 to 6 weeks per year. The job is 50% in the office and 50% in the field at power plants.
Need to be able to access power plants and substations to gather data, work with crews, etc. This requires walking on uneven surfaces and the ability to climb stairs and occasionally ladders.
