About this opportunity:
Reporting to the Superintendent, Maintenance LTCHO, the Maintenance Specialist will be providing technical support and project management to the Lloydminster Thermal & Conventional Heavy Oil (LTCHO) Maintenance team. This role will develop and manage project opportunities, ensuring alignment with maintenance principles.

Work Environment:
- This position is located in Lloydminster and requires the successful candidate to live in the area.
- This is a full-time employee position working a Monday to Friday schedule with regular visits to operational facilities.
- Lead critical safety improvement initiatives and drive and uphold the maintenance safety culture.
- Develop and manage project opportunities, ensuring alignment with maintenance principles
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with various stakeholders focusing on team deliverables
- Support category management, procurement initiatives, and contract negotiations.
- Contribute to Reliability and Integrity compliance, focusing on continuous improvement.
- Improve important metrics for execution, track project progress, and produce reports.
- Act as the single point of contact for Vendor Joint Execution Team meetings, driving optimization initiatives.
- Maintain and develop maintenance documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
- Support the CAP-M program lifecycle for the embedded trades team (Proficiency Assurance Program - Maintenance).
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Minimum 12 years of related experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, pulp and paper, or power generation industries.
- Journeyperson trade certification or Technical Diploma from an accredited institution is considered an asset.
- Experience in facility maintenance, project development/management/execution, cost and time management, HAZOPs, and management of change processes (MOCs)
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Project and Visio; SAP CMMS experience is an asset.

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments
For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate
