With a vision to be the premier LNG exporter in North America, Golden Pass, a joint venture of Qatar Energy & ExxonMobil, is constructing an LNG export terminal on the Gulf Coast near Sabine Pass, Texas where it currently has an LNG import terminal. Golden Pass LNG’s mission is to bring clean energy from Texas to power the world.
As part of its vision and mission and consistent with its transformation from an LNG import to an LNG export business, Golden Pass is undergoing rapid growth and is seeking a Maintenance Reliability Supervisor responsible for overseeing a multidisciplinary group of discipline specialists responsible for maintenance programs, troubleshooting, repair and improvement of equipment. The Maintenance Reliability Supervisor ensures that maintenance programs are in place to sustain stable production through proactive preventive maintenance activities and front-line troubleshooting, interfaces with the operations and engineering teams are established to optimize production, and data from field maintenance activities is accurate and complete to support performance metric build out. He/She will be a technical resource who provides and shares expertise of equipment and options to improve maintenance and operating practices. This role will also be responsible for managing reliability improvement initiatives and projects to achieve established performance metrics.
Essential Duties / Functions
- Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance specialist team in areas such as safety, technical development, reliability mindset, problem solving/troubleshooting, and bad actor resolution. The team consists of multidisciplinary specialists across mechanical, machinery, instrument, controls, and electrical disciplines.
- Work with the area Operations and Maintenance staff to facilitate effective strategic maintenance initiatives that support achievement of reliability goals, objectives, key performance metrics, and maintenance continuous improvement.
- Manage the maintenance needs by working across the Operations team to identify, prioritize, and efficiently optimize the scheduling of maintenance and outage work
- Review and modify the sites preventative maintenance program to assure PMs address failure modes and consequences and have adequate specificity.
- Implement reliability best practices to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
- Develop and staff, including contractors, a condition monitoring (CM) program based on failure modes, consequences and criticality.
- Analyze process concerns and performance gaps and guide programs to resolve production and maintenance problems
- Enable team to provide technical oversight in the completion of and troubleshooting of equipment issues, assist maintenance execution team in the develop, implementation, and completeness of corrective actions.
- Champion the creation of and attainment of maintenance reliability Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
- Own the development, implementation, reviews, updates and improvements to equipment records in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to assist the Planners and maintenance records / data
- Coordinate with maintenance, operations, engineering, supply chain and others to facilitate collaboration in defect elimination and provide guidance regarding key practices.
- Interface with vendor repair shops, and engage maintenance and engineering as necessary to assure the right standards and specifications are in place, and followed.
- Interface with maintenance and warehousing to ensure spare parts and critical equipment lists are maintained and stocked by our purchasing and warehousing clerk.
- Interface with maintenance to identify further training needs to support reliable operation, including training for operations and maintenance groups
- Work directly with Maintenance Supervisors support training and competency programs for the maintenance team
- Interact directly with Maintenance Superintendent to ensure effective preventive maintenance and a reduction of downtime.
- Provide monthly reports to the Maintenance Program Manager and Maintenance Manager.
- Responsible for personnel functions - attendance, discipline, vacation approval, coverage, etc.- 5+ years of experience in maintenance management and/or engineering reliability leadership experience in industrial manufacturing
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of industrial manufacturing maintenance tracking software applications (SAP), safety standards programs, and condition based maintenance programs.
- 10 years of maintenance reliability or multidisciplinary specialist work experience, in Oil and Gas, or petrochemical facilities.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required Of The Position.
- Experienced supervisor who has interfaced with field technicians
- Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
- Strong knowledge and experience in discipline specialist roles
- Experience defining or facilitating maintenance programs
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working in a PHMSA regulated Pipeline facility preferred.
- Experience with gas compression and metering equipment preferred.

- Maintain or ability to maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status
- State Issued Current and Valid Driver’s License – Pursuant to PHMSA, this is a DOT covered position with all applicable laws and regulations pertaining thereof.
