We are seeking a motivated Instrument & Electrical (I/E) Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to join our team in Port Neches, TX. In this role, you’ll provide both electrical and instrumentation expertise to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. You’ll support troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and reliability initiatives for critical equipment such as motors, switchgear, control valves, transformers, and instrumentation systems.
- BSEE or equivalent degree (experience in petrochemical plant preferred)
- Technical troubleshooting / root cause analysis expertise
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting, maintenance, and operation of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and reliability studies to prevent recurring failures.
- Support reliability programs including RCM/Asset Management Plans and preventive maintenance optimization.
- Lead and participate in incident investigations, ensuring proper corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to improve long-term operability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical input during turnarounds, inspections, and capital projects.
- Support compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Education: BSEE (Electrical Engineering) or equivalent required
- Experience:
- 0–2 years of I&E Maintenance or Reliability Engineering required
- 5+ years preferred (petrochemical experience a plus)- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card
- Strong knowledge of control systems, PLC/DCS, control valves, and instrumentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Intools, PowerDB)
- Strong communication and documentation skills
