The Maintenance Planner shall improve and sustain workforce productivity by providing support to operation, engineering, maintenance, and inspection teams through the process of planning, scheduling, and completion of work orders for daily maintenance, unit outages and site improvement projects. Fosters collaborative team environment built on strong work ethics.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Prepares detailed work scopes, resource estimates and schedules ensuring maintenance is planned safely, efficiently, and effectively.
•Create recurring Work Orders for predictive and preventive maintenance
•Leads constructability reviews of maintenance activities.
•Maintains maintenance historical data such as hours worked, materials used, failure codes, equipment repair history, etc.
•Work with Supply Chain Department to order rental equipment and parts for refinery work plans.
•Schedule maintenance work activities with Operations, Maintenance and Technical to improve productivity of people and equipment while working to eliminate potential delays and obstacles to achieve efficient execution.
•Coordinates with multiple refinery functions (operations, inspection, technical, projects, reliability, etc.) to define and vet detailed work scope, resource estimates, manpower requirements to build equipment maintenance plans and equipment reliability.
REQUIREMENTS
•Drive continuous improvement using metrics and benchmarking to validate planning and scheduling performance.
•Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years industry or operations experience highly preferred
•5+ years plant Maintenance Planner/Scheduler experience.
•This position requires the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with co-workers, supervisors, internal and external customers.
•Must be able to multi-task, and to prioritize assignments.
•Must have a level of proficiency in Maintenance Planning (Work orders, Purchasing and ordering material and work scope labor activities).
•Computer skills in Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Outlook, Internet, etc.
•Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
•Field experience in plant general maintenance, piping, fixed equipment, insulation, etc.
•Experience in a process, petrochemical, or refining industries.
•Knowledge of general maintenance workflow procedures and understanding of labor activities for time estimating and materials requirements to create efficient work plans.
•Experience with reliability practices, mechanical integrity and predictive/ preventative maintenance in a chemical plant or refinery.
