MVP Holdings is a privately owned energy logistics company headquartered in Wichita, KS. MVP and its subsidiaries provide gathering, transportation, processing, storage, distribution, marketing and other midstream services to independent oil and natural gas producers, refiners of petroleum and products and other market participants located throughout the United states.
We are currently looking for a full time Maintenance Planner to join our team. This position can be based out of our Oklahoma City, OK office or our Wichita, KS office. This position will estimate, plan, and prepare schedules for maintenance and construction projects, while working with the various stakeholders. Maintenance experience is preferred, but this is a good position to learn.
Our ideal candidate will be efficient in Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel) and will have strong communication skills to work across multiple entities with different management. Candidate should be self-motivated, have high attention to details, and be thorough in documentation and change tracking.
Essential Functions
•Process work requests into work orders for assigned areas.
•Coordinate job planning and preparation for scheduled work.
•Coordinate the development of all required (regulatory, company and general practice) routine and preventative maintenance procedures and schedules.
•Schedule all work orders in a four-week operational demand-based schedule. Work with operations, maintenance, and supervision to lock in the subsequent one-week schedule.
•Perform weekly work order updates with supervision to maintain an active backlog of jobs.
•Meet with all stakeholders to publish the plan of the week for operations and maintenance to review and prepare for the coming week. Distribute crew backlogs for completion updates and to obtain scheduling feedback.
•Produce and post the weekly KPI reports and other information.
•Generate and maintain assets in a CMMS system.
•Attend all scheduled planner/scheduler training and provide training to all new employees.
•Interact with maintenance and pipeline operations department, as well as external customers.
•Assist in the response to emergency repairs safely and with appropriate materials and contract personnel and equipment.
•Perform location and area inventory related duties (i.e., periodic inventory counts, create inventory system part numbers, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
•Prior experience or exposure to Project Management principles and concepts.
•Prior involvement with a CMMS system.
•Strong commitment to on the job safety.
•Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and dexterity in the use of tools and equipment.
•Proficient in written and verbal communication.
•Exhibit ability and desire to work independently and as part of a team as required.
•Utilize basic computer skills, including spreadsheet and word processing applications, and possess the technical capacity to learn other software programs as needed.
•Internally motivated to start tasks and projects and committed to follow them until completion.
•Organized; able to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks and projects effectively.
•Attention to detail and ability to catch errors and inconsistencies in own work.
Requirements:
Education, Certifications, License
•Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
•Requires a valid Driver’s License, with insurable driving record.
Work Experience
•1 year maintenance experience, preferred.
Physical Requirements
•Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use arms, legs, and moving the whole body to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, stand and kneel for an extensive amount of time.
•Ability to push, pull, and lift 25 lbs. occasionally.
•Ability to sit and operate a computer for an extended period of time.
•Must be able to work in extreme temperature due to weather conditions and operating conditions.
•Ability to travel to field sites.
•Ability to drive/ride in vehicles over rough roads and to wear necessary PPE when on field sites.
Travel
•Up to 20% travel to project locations, vendor sites, and the field, as necessary.
