Job Summary:
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for effectively planning and scheduling maintenance activities for crews in designated areas of the plant. This role includes maintaining accurate records of all plant equipment, ensuring cost-effective reliability maintenance, monitoring and forecasting the maintenance budget, fostering strong working relationships between the Production and Maintenance departments, and assisting in managing critical spare parts inventories. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Required Education/Experience:
•High School Diploma or GED equivalent
•Minimum of one-year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and maintenance experience.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
•Associate degree (AA) preferred.
•Competent with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and Microsoft applications such as Access and Project).
•Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
•Able to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
•Capable of reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules and operating or maintenance manuals.
•Ability to interpret various forms of instructions including written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule based.
Job Responsibilities:
•Applies predictive, proactive, and preventative techniques to evaluate and monitor equipment performance.
•Drives continuous improvement of plant equipment through proper operation verification, maintenance practices, and quality workmanship.
•Effectively schedules manpower and work hours on a daily and weekly basis.
•Provides input on design on design and equipment modifications.
•Creates and maintains control charts to track maintenance costs and process efficiency.
•Collaborates with the Plant Reliability Leader to implement reliability-based maintenance strategies, including PM (Preventive Maintenance) and PDM (Predictive Maintenance), to enhance equipment performance and reduce costs.
•Manages all aspects of work order processing, including defining the work scope, estimating labor and materials, procuring parts, scheduling, initiating, follow up and closing work orders.
•Maintains accurate and up-to-date equipment history records.
•Forecasts the maintenance budget on a periodic, quarterly, and annual basis.
