Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and experience in industrial maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems. This role requires proficiency in working with programmable logic controllers, hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and the use of precision measuring instruments. The Maintenance Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our equipment and facilities.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor equipment functionality.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities.
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including HVAC/R repairs.
- Execute welding tasks, including stick welding, to repair or fabricate components as needed.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters for diagnostics.
- Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide customer service support regarding equipment functionality.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols while operating scissor lifts and other machinery.
- Analyze problems effectively and provide solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or in a similar maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage applications.
- Proficient in reading schematics and technical drawings related to mechanical systems.
- Experience with field service operations is preferred.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Military experience is a plus but not required.
