Oil States is currently looking for qualified candidates for the position of Maintenance Mechanic II in Houma, Louisiana.
Position Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for maintenance activities, troubleshooting and repair of facility equipment, systems, structure and production machinery.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities•Perform broad tasks to include, but are not limited to, rebuilding machine tools, service vehicles, equipment and machinery; overhauling troublesome components and attachments, repairing hand and power tools, dismantling machines and equipment; effecting repairs in a manner to minimize downtime. Also assists with more complex projects.
•Diagnose problems, consult blueprints, drawings, schematics, manufacturers instruction manuals, etc.
•Routine inspections and maintenance of machinery, vehicles, cranes and other equipment.
•Facility maintenance and repair to include, but not limited to painting, pipefitting, carpentry, plumbing, concrete, welding, and general maintenance work.
•Produce quality work in an efficient manner.
Other Duties And Responsibilities
•Installation of new equipment.
•Process appropriate paperwork.
•May provide instruction to operators or junior mechanics.
•Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualification Requirements
•Minimum of two years prior experience, performing mechanical work on similar equipment and machinery.
•Working knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, carpentry, welding, and general maintenance work.
•Ability to read blueprints, drawings, schematics, and technical charts.
•Basic mathematical and measurement computations applicable to the craft.
•Good verbal communication and reading skills.
•Ability to operate hand tools, cranes, cutting torches, and other equipment common to the trade.
•Ability to follow simple and complex instructions.
Physical Requirements
•Pulling/pushing, bending, standing, throwing, kneeling, balancing, carrying, sitting, walking, crawling, crouching, reaching, climbing, unnatural body positioning, and working in a confined space.
•Lifting requirement of 45 pounds.
•Non climate controlled environment.
