We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic
to become an integral part of our team!
This position is located in
Fort Worth, Texas.
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and longevity of CNC machines (lathes, mills & saws) and other equipment through regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. This role involves performing routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical and technical issues, and implementing solutions to prevent downtime.
- Repair CNC Machinery, manual machines, machining centers, air compressors and other equipment. Maintenance and repair of CNC lathes, mills and saws is a key task of this position
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls
- Troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, and software, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issues
- Identify and replace parts as necessary
- Complete testing and changing of parts as needed
- Complete planned and preventative procedures
- Work based on a sense of urgency with machine down conditions
- Be able to clearly document all work and utilize a maintenance management system
- Utilize maintenance software for equipment record tracking, generating tickets, scheduling preventive maintenance, aid in creation of SOPs, etc.
- Have a safety mindset
- Preferred: Five (5) years' experience in Repair and Maintenance of CNC machinery using a variety of hand tool and diagnostic equipment
- (3) years minimum experience working with gear boxes, pumps, valves, PLC’s, etc.
- One (1) year minimum of experience in Lock out Tag out and Arc Flash Safety
- One (1) year minimum of experience in basic plumbing
- Fully experienced with all basic hand tools and tool box
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and technical procedures
- Ability to read part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
- Knowledge of CNC machine design and operation
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak clearly and effectively with groups of customers or employees of organization
- Familiar with JSA (job safety analysis) and JHA (job hazard analysis)
- Must pass a drug test and background check
- Must have U.S. work authorization
