We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer Manager for our XXX, XX Plant!


Position Summary:


Essential Duties:

Manage a team of technicians responsible for maintaining and supporting the operation of high-volume manufacturing equipment.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
Support production by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with manufacturing equipment.
Lead the design and implementation of new equipment installations and upgrades.
Develop and manage project budgets and timelines.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, quality, and safety.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies.
Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards.
Manage projects and Capex work as required.
Develop, implement, and keep up to date Standard Operating Procedures and Risk assessments for all relevant activities.
Ensure production hours are always covered by maintenance.
Ensuring that machinery, systems, infrastructure, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime.
Responding to major equipment breakdowns.
Using a CMMS system, undertake predictive, preventative and planned maintenance.
Setting and tracking maintenance KPIs, reporting as required.
Other duties and responsibilities related to the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as required.
Develop and maintain a spare parts inventory to support preventative maintenance and repair activities.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing environment, preference with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies, including automation, robotics, and control systems.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and driving change.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
Experience in budgeting and project management.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience in supporting production and maintaining equipment is essential.
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical operations
Must be able to speak and understand written English.
Must understand technical and mechanical language.



Computer Skills:

Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook.

Good to excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Maintenance engineer can expect to work 40+ hours a week. Although, on occasion, they could be asked to work well outside business hours (on weekends, public holidays, etc.). For better or worse, overtime work is a shared reality for all maintenance staff.
Maintenance engineers in plants and facilities that run their operations 24/7 may have to work shifts that cover nights, weekends, and early mornings. The pace of work can vary and will often spike when there is a push to meet production deadlines or to quickly resolve breakdowns.
