About Brucejack

Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

About the Role

Your Impact:

The purpose of this position is to install and maintain electrical services by diagnosing and repairing electrical wiring, equipment problems and power generation in accordance with relevant codes. The Maintenance Electrician is accountable for the safe and timely provision of these services in an effective and efficient manner, following all relevant codes and regulations.

As Part of Our Team, You Will:

- Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and power generation.

- Inspect electrical components and ensure compliance with safety codes.

- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings to plan installations.

- Install and maintain high-voltage power systems, switchgear, and transformers.

- Conduct system tests, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements.

- Monitor and evaluate equipment performance to minimize failures.

- Ensure safety standards and procedures are followed at all times.

- Train and mentor team members on best practices and safety protocols.

- Collaborate with other teams to meet project deadlines and operational goals.

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role:

- Red Seal Electrical Certification with multiple years of progressive experience in mining or industrial settings.

- Strong knowledge of high-voltage power systems (138kV/69kV/5kV/600V).

- PSSP (Power Systems Safety Protection)

- Experience with power generation plants and electrical distribution.

- Familiarity with FS6 insulated breakers, switchgear, and transformers.

- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

- Ability to work safely in high-voltage environments and extreme conditions.

- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

Your Work Environment:

- Remote camp setting with private accommodations provided

- Onsite meals, gym, recreation, and entertainment facilities

- Travel allowance and transportation arrangements included

- Rotational schedule: 13 days on / 13 days off

- Drug & alcohol-free workplace (pre-employment testing required)

The expected salary range for this role is CA$61.20 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
