Key Responsibilities
•Issue materials from Work Orders.
•Load and unload wire, transformers, and materials.
•Unload freight and distributor trucks.
•Check inventory for re-ordering.
•Perform weekly cycle counts of five pieces of material chosen by supervisor.
•Keep trash picked up and parking lots clean.
•Sweep and clean the downstairs warehouse as needed.
•Keep warehouse locked, organized, and clean.
•Assist with minor maintenance on all buildings at the main office.
•Check and replace air and heat filters every 3 months.
•Be available at all times for supervisors except during breaks.
•Limit cell phone use to necessary personal calls.
•Carry mail to the post office at 3:00 PM when the supervisor is not available.
•Sort through returned material and salvage usable items.
•Obtain oil samples from used transformers as needed.
•Prepare monthly reports, including gas tickets, mileage, fire extinguishers, and work order totals.
•Check the phone in the elevator monthly and sign the elevator maintenance form.
•Perform grounds keeping at the main office, including mowing, weed eating, and landscaping.
•Ensure rubber gloves are tested every 3 months.
•Ensure rubber sleeves are tested every 6 months.
•Omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.
Personal Requirements
•High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
•Valid Tennessee Driver License.
•Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb steps, bend, twist, push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds.
•Ability to work outside during various temperatures for undetermined lengths of time.
•Ability to drive and operate a forklift.
•Knowledge of and ability to obey all safety procedures.
•Ability to operate a computer.
•Strong time management skills and self-motivation.
