Starting rate $24.98/hour without CDL or $28.39/hour with a CDL.
We are hiring a Class A CDL Driver with Hazmat Endorsements to work in the exciting explosive industry. Our company provides explosives and explosives related services to the quarry, construction, and mining industries in the Northwestern United States. Ideal candidates are comfortable operating in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming driving hazardous materials between company and customer sites as well as assisting experienced blasters with blasting operations. Candidates should be motivated individuals with the desire to work hard, learn new skills, and be accustomed to working in teams to accomplish amazing things. Experience with explosive related products and services or other hazardous materials is not required, but desired. For those who are new to the industry, extensive training will be provided.

Deliver bulk commodities over the road to various mines in the western U.S. Load and unload bulk commodities into the trailer. Perform minor maintenance on vehicles and moving vehicles around the facility. Record the amount of product loaded on thevehicles, manage DOT log books and other appropriate paperwork.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel substances, objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to walk, sit, climb or balance; and also stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Visual abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Must be at least 21 years of age and have a current CDL with Hazmat Endorsements or be willing to learn and complete the necessary training and proficiency.
Must be willing and able to learn and understand tasks associated with explosives handling under supervision.
Must be willing to drive, load, unload and assist customers with hazardous materials in accordance with DOT, MSHA, or OSHA regulations.
Must be able to walk, stand, bend, squat, or kneel for long periods of time on frequent basis as well as lift and carry loads up to fifty-five pounds for multiple hours per day.
Must enjoy working outside in the Pacific Northwest as well as being exposed to changes in temperatures and humidity on a frequent or continuous basis.
Must be willing to learn and understand all the health and safety aspects of the blasting and explosives industry.
Must be willing to learn and grow your skills and abilities to the benefit of yourself and others.
Shift: 8 - 10 hours per shift. 5 days a week. Rotating shifts.
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
