Machinist Operator

Will train the right candidate. Must have good mathematical skills, ability to work independently and with others, attention to detail, follow instructions and production schedules, excellent hand-eye coordination, be dependable, interested in learning and growing with APPI.

A Employment may include but is not limited to job duties such as to set up and run machines, inspect parts and assist with programming as needed. Assist with machine maintenance tasks such as preparing coolant and adding it to a machine, vacuuming or sweeping chips out of a machine or sweeping them from the work area, assembling a fixture in a machine, measuring parts with a micrometer, plug gauge or go-no go gauge and comparing measurements to a print of the finished work piece, recording measurements in a table on the print or another document. Putting away tools and inspection equipment or other requirements based on shop supervisor assessment of area needs. You will report to Shop Supervisor and company owners, and sometimes work in partnership with other departments as needed.
