What you'll do

As a Machinist III, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating both CNC and manual machining equipment, with a focus on vertical milling systems using HAAS controls. You will work closely with Engineering, Quality, and R&D to ensure parts are produced with the highest precision, conforming to design intent, and delivered on time for prototype and production builds.

+ Set up and operate CNC and manual machining centers, including HAAS vertical mills, to produce high-precision components. + Perform tool selection, tool changes, and machine adjustments as needed to ensure optimal performance and accuracy. + Complete first-off and last-off part validation and collaborate with the Quality team for first article inspections and in-process checks. + Utilize SolidWorks CAM or similar software for toolpath generation and post-processing to create efficient and accurate machining programs. + Interpret engineering drawings using GD&T and verify part conformance with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs). + Document machining methods and maintain up-to-date toolpath and setup documentation in accordance with established procedures. + Maintain machining equipment, ensure consumables and tooling are stocked, and perform routine maintenance to maximize uptime. + Collaborate with Engineering and R&D teams to troubleshoot, refine, and optimize part designs and production methods. + Support 6S and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
