Machining & Inspection Operator - Afternoon Shift

About This Job

Reports to: Afternoon Shift Lead and Production Supervisor

Responsibilities:

•

Operate machinery in a safe manner at all times.

•

Operate manual and automatic grinding equipment

•

Operate manual saws

•

Operate automatic machining system

•

Use verniers measuring parts to criteria

•

Load and unload kilns.

•

Inspection and packaging of finished goods to ensure it meets customer criteria.

•

Pack product according to specific procedure.

•

Participation in 5S teams for each department.

•

Other duties are required

Qualifications:

•

Experience working in a manufacturing environment, an asset.

•

Must have reliable attendance.

•

Experience with calipers and micrometers is preferred.

•

Accuracy, attention to detail, and good communication skills.

•

Ability to multitask.

•

Ability to work in a fast -paced environment.

•

Motivated, who always thinks in a positive proactive manner.

•

Ability to be on their feet for the entire shift.

•

Requires the ability to lift over 50lbs several times during the shift, unassisted.

•

Quick learner who easily adapts to change.

•

Must have reliable transportation.

•

Able to work overtime, as required.

This is an afternoon shift position.

Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $21.97 per hour
