This is a first shift role at our location in Hatfield, PA. The hours are 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Ability to read blueprints, create basic programs, select appropriate tooling and monitor the milling process and adjust machine settings as necessary.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving: Diagnosing and resolving complex operational issues and makes proactive, real-time adjustments to compensate for variation and prevent defects.”
- Leadership and training: Provides guidance and training to junior operators, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and contributing to a positive work environment.
- Operates multiple machines during a normal workday.
- Maintenance and preventative measures: Ensures that the shop equipment and instruments are functioning properly and in calibration prior to performing any work.
- Informs the supervisor whenever any equipment is found to be out of calibration or in need of repair.
- Follows all applicable and required specifications and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance to machining requirements.
- Maintains traceability of materials and parts during operations.
- Monitors scheduled completion dates and times to ensure that established schedules are met. The supervisor must be notified sufficiently in advance whenever the schedule for a job might not be met.
- Inputs required data into computer software accurately and on a timely basis.
- Assists with maintaining shop equipment. This includes cleaning the equipment, performing preventive maintenance as scheduled, and performing repair maintenance as required.
- Maintains assigned work area(s) in a clean, organized, and safe condition at all times.
- Understands and complies with LTI’s QA Program at all times.
- Seeks clarification when specifications or directions are unclear.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures at all times.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations at all times and utilizes personal protective equipment, as required.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the Machine Shop Supervisor or the Machine Shop Manager.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 5-7 years’ of CNC milling experience.
- Must be a US Citizen or possess a valid Green Card.
- Experience with Haas VF-2, Haas VF-3, and various measuring devices (verniers, micrometers, etc.)
- Working knowledge of G-code programming.
- Ability to set-up and operate the mill with no supervision.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to process work with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adjust settings (speeds/feeds, tool heights/diameters, etc.) in CNC programs.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
