Machine Operator - 2nd shift

Second shift hours: 4:30pm - 3am M-Th.

Job Title: Machine operator

Summary: To operate machinery and tools in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with production standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities includes the following:

- Operates production equipment to produce products in accordance with production requirements and standards.

- Produces assigned products in accordance with verbal and written instructions.

- Completes equipment set-up's in accordance with customer specifications and quality procedures.

- Inspects parts and documents findings on appropriate paperwork as needed.

- Inspects equipment prior to use to verify equipment is in good working order.

- Completes all required job documentation.

- Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas daily.

- Adheres to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.

- Notifies lead of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries.

- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

· Basic knowledge of machine operation and maintenance procedures

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints

· Hand-eye coordination

· Attention to detail

· Ability to read, understand and follow safety procedures

· Basic math skills

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions

· Ability to use hand and power tools

· Required to stand for long periods of time

· Hand-eye coordination

· May frequently involve some repetitive motions

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

· May also engage in frequent and repetitive bending, lifting, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
