Machine/Factory Maintenance Technician

This position will maintain machinery and equipment in a Manufacturing facility, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. This role involves diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, as well as performing preventative maintenance to minimise downtime. This position includes building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Preventative Maintenance:

Following established schedules to inspect, service, and test machinery, including lubrication, cleaning, and tightening components.

•

Troubleshooting and Repair:

Identifying and diagnosing machine malfunctions, replacing parts, and making necessary repairs.

•

Installation and Assembly:

Installing new equipment, including machinery, pipes, and electrical components.

•

Documentation:

Recording maintenance work, part replacements, and any issues encountered in a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or other documentation system.

•

Safety:

Adhering to safety procedures and regulations to protect themselves and others.

•

Collaboration:

Coordinating with other workers and supervisors to ensure efficient operations.

•

Inventory Management:

Maintaining adequate stock of parts and supplies.

•

Fabrication and Machining:

In some cases, fabricating replacement parts using machine shop tools.
