Summary:
Responsible for managing all accounting functions of the Lubricant Division. Direct responsibility for managing purchase order and inventory reconciliations, vendor payments, billing for deliveries made, and the accuracy of pricing, tax, and other system set-ups within the financial system. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, the highest ethical standards, and strong problem-solving ability.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•Responsible for complete and accurate daily billing in the Company’s financial system and customer portals daily.
•Responsible for maintaining product and freight costs and updating changes as needed to ensure accuracy in our financial system and customer portal systems.
•Manage the internal price-book as well as customer-specific pricing to ensure accuracy.
•Understand and manage the specifics of the set-up process for supplier partners that utilize FTP or other automated payment processes, ensuring updates and changes are made as needed in response to price or product changes communicated by our suppliers.
•Reconcile purchase order receipts with vendor invoices and resolve any discrepancies with purchasing, warehouse manager, and the vendor.
•Responsible for the accuracy of inventory within our financial system at both warehouse locations. This will require working with the Warehouse Manager to address any quantity, cost, or other issues identified.
•Provide support for inventory counts and cycle counts conducted by the warehouse teams.
•Manage the creation of vendors, product codes, customers and their ship-to sites, ensuring accuracy with all details including tax application.
•Fully understand and manage the proper use of the Company’s financial system and associated software programs.
Knowledge, Education and Skills Requirements:
•Minimum of 3 years in a similar accounting position
•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
•Well-organized with ability to prioritize and multitask
•Strong Attention to detail and proven problem-solving ability
