Logistics Supply Chain Specialist

The Logistics Supply Chain Specialist will manage the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods from origin to consumption, overseeing procurement, inventory, transportation, and warehousing to ensure timely delivery and optimize supply chain processes. Key duties include coordinating with suppliers and carriers, managing inventory levels, analyzing data for improvements, resolving supply chain issues, and using logistics software to track and plan shipments.

- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

- Source materials, manage orders, and build relationships with suppliers to ensure timely material acquisition.

- Coordinate the movement and storage of goods, including managing transportation and overseeing warehouse operations.

- Analyze logistics processes, identify areas for increased efficiency, and implement strategies to minimize lead times and costs.

- Forecast product demand, respond to changes, and adjust supply chain processes accordingly.

- Address any supply chain disruptions or issues that arise to ensure smooth operations.

- Maintain clear and effective communication with suppliers, customers, internal departments, and other stakeholders.

- Ability to analyze data and logistics information to identify trends and areas for improvement.

- Experience with supply chain management software, inventory management systems, data analysis tools and transportation management systems.

- Strong ability to resolve issues, troubleshoot disruptions, and make sound decisions.

- Excellent verbal and written communication to collaborate with various parties.

- Strong organizational skills and a high degree of attention to detail to manage complex processes.

- Understanding of supply chain principles, trade regulations, and logistics best practices.

- Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

Education:

A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is desired.
