YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

The Logistics Supervisor, Nunavut Construction, is a key leadership role responsible for managing and optimizing all logistics operations across our construction projects in Nunavut. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will coordinate with site superintendents, leaders and various operational teams to ensure that material handling, site organization, workforce allocation, and equipment logistics align with project schedules and requirements. This position demands a strategic thinker who can analyse the site needs, develop and maintain processes from engineering’s MTO (Material Take Off) to on-site delivery of material to contractor, and establish team collaboration to ensure efficiency in all project phases. The role emphasizes clear communication, cross-functional collaboration, and effective team management to meet project timelines and quality standards. The candidate will drive continuous improvement in logistics processes, ensuring that every component of the supply chain is synchronized and efficient.

Collaborate with site superintendents, leaders and planning team to clearly understand the scope of work, schedules, and specific logistical requirements such as workforce, equipment, laydowns, and infrastructure needs. Ensure that all site-specific logistics plans align with overall project objectives.
Assess and coordinate the supply of essential personnel—including logistics coordinators, mechanics, and housekeeping teams—across all construction sites. Provide clear direction and support to both the internal team and site personnel, ensuring roles and responsibilities are well defined. Manage and own the budget and forecasts for the team and resources requirements.
Establish and monitor processes for material handling from the engineering MTO and purchase request stage all the way to the delivery at contractor sites. This includes maintaining accurate descriptions and organization in the system, tracking materials from the port and during sealift, managing site laydowns, and ensuring on-time delivery in accordance with construction schedules.
Work closely with various operations teams to optimize logistics processes, including sealift operations and plane cargo management. Ensure that all aspects of the supply chain are coordinated to support project timelines and minimize delays.
Engage with all construction teams during every project phase to understand evolving material management needs. Foster effective communication and collaboration between departments to ensure that logistical strategies support overall project success.
