SUMMARY
The Logistics Specialist (Accounts Payable) will be responsible for cost management within the Logistics Team. They will also analyze the manufacturing cost of billing operations and cost reduction to successfully execute and control the assigned business plan.
This individual will organize, control, and monitor the logistics AP activities of solar panel raw materials such as Glass, Frame (Aluminum, Steel), Junction Box, Wire/Busbar, Silicone (Sealant, Potting), EVA/EPE/POE Sheet, Back sheet, Flux and Cell, Ingot, Wafer Raw Materials, etc. They will work in a cross-functional team environment within Hanwha Qcells Georgia, Hanwha Qcells USA, and other subsidiaries of the Hanwha Group.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan monthly logistics costs per year.
- Plan warehouse operation cost based on annual production volume.
- Analyze the logistics cost compared with monthly plan and BP cost.
- Analyze manufacturing cost for raw materials and import transportation cost.
- Spearhead the yearly logistics cost reduction plan and analyze and research sources of cost reduction and underperformance, compared with BP.
- Invoice Processing: Receiving, verifying, and entering invoices into the system.
- Assisting with month-end close procedures and providing supporting documentation for audits.
- Create and report monthly logistics cost expense reports.
- Report actual cost compared with BP, specific logistics cost, and irregular logistics cost.
- Analyze and report irregular cost details.
- Maintaining communication with vendors regarding payments, invoices, and account information.
- Verify freight contracted cost and compare with billing cost.
- Validate and approve 3PL invoices for payment and monitor logistics cost development.
- Ensure shipping documentation is complete and accurate.
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation.
- Check and manage logistics procedures, manpower, and outsourcing.
- Negotiate additional costs outside of contracts.
- Investigating and resolving any invoice discrepancies or payment issues.
- Frequently communicate with internal stakeholders.
- Support and actively engage with teammates’ related work.
- Other duties may be assigned that pertain to the classification.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, SCM, Business Management or related fields.
- 0-6 years of related logistics AP experience or finance/accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of logistics, transportation, and customs.
- Ability to travel overseas and domestically.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast pace, professional, team environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to prioritize tasks appropriately for project schedules and other deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency in Korean and English, both spoken and written.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in manufacturing industries, especially in renewable energy.
- Computer literacy with an advanced knowledge in SAP and Microsoft office including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
- Office business setting or construction worksite depending on need.
