Position Summary:
B360 is seeking a highly qualified Logistics & Operational Flow Specialist to support the Export Facility Loading Dock Study at the Otay Mesa Land Port of Entry. This specialist will evaluate dock operations, cargo handling patterns, and circulation logistics to uncover inefficiencies or safety concerns. Recommendations will include flow diagrams, process improvements, and reconfiguration strategies.
Education & Professional Credentials:
•Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Transportation Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
•Relevant certifications (e.g., CLTD – Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution, Six Sigma, Lean Logistics) are preferred.
Experience:
•Minimum 7–10 years of experience analyzing operational logistics, circulation patterns, and cargo handling workflows in industrial, warehouse, or port facility environments.
•Experience working with or assessing federal, commercial, or secure port facilities is highly desirable.
•Proven track record in recommending and implementing process optimization strategies that improve throughput and reduce bottlenecks.
Technical Skills:
•Proficiency in workflow mapping, process simulation, and layout optimization using tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, or similar.
•Familiarity with freight handling systems, traffic/circulation planning, and dock/warehouse layout design.
•Ability to identify safety hazards, inefficiencies, and operational constraints in cargo movement and loading/unloading activities.
Analytical & Communication Skills:
•Strong analytical skills for developing operational models and evaluating multiple process improvement scenarios.
•Ability to produce clear diagrams, written recommendations, and presentation materials for stakeholders.
•Excellent collaboration skills to integrate logistics analysis with engineering, architectural, and MEP assessments.
