Position Summary:
The Logistics Clerk supports the daily operations of the shipping, receiving, and inventory processes. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate documentation, coordinating shipments, tracking materials, and maintaining organized records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates must be able to commute to Dayton, Texas in the near future
Key Responsibilities:
•Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, including scheduling pickups and deliveries
•Prepare and process shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices
•Verify and record the quantity and condition of incoming and outgoing items
•Maintain accurate records of inventory and update stock levels in the system
•Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve shipping or receiving issues
•Assist in cycle counts and physical inventory audits
•File, scan, and maintain documentation for compliance and audit purposes
•Use ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS) to enter data and generate reports
•Support warehouse team with basic clerical tasks as needed
•Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
Qualifications:
•High school diploma, additional coursework or certification in logistics/supply chain is a plus
•1+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or administrative support (preferred)
•Experience in manufacturing or distribution (steel, lumber, construction products is a plus).
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
•Experience with ERP or WMS systems (SAP is a plus)
•Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
•Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Bilingual, English and Spanish
