Line Superintendent
WIN Energy REMC is seeking a Line Superintendent to join our team in the Operations Department. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the cooperative’s Vincennes line crew and ensuring safe, reliable electric service to our members. The Line Superintendent provides daily supervision, promotes safety, supports crew training, and helps guide system construction and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise electrical line crews in daily construction, maintenance, and service work.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of the electrical distribution system.
- Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing and modeling safe work practices.
- Oversee the use and care of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure materials and equipment are available.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to outages and emergencies.
- Meet with members regarding new construction, upgrades, or relocations of facilities.
- Work with developers and other utilities to coordinate projects.
- Review and approve crew timesheets, schedules, and time off requests.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in electric utility or electrical distribution operations, including construction, maintenance, and system reliability.
- Familiarity with RUS standards, regulations, and specifications.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a union environment strongly preferred.
- Must hold, or be able to obtain, an Indiana Class A CDL.
