Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will work closely with the head chef and other kitchen staff to ensure that all food is prepared according to our menu standards and health regulations. Your culinary skills, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently under pressure will contribute to our commitment to exceptional food service.
Responsibilities
•Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
•Assist in cooking menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
•Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices.
•Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring all tools are in good working condition.
•Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
•Help with menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
•Follow health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
Experience
•Previous experience in a culinary role is preferred but not required; we welcome enthusiastic individuals eager to learn.
•Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques are essential.
•Familiarity with food preparation methods, food service practices, and menu planning is a plus.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
