The Light Truck Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of light truck fleet operations, including personnel, operational, security, and performance. This role ensures that scheduling, distribution, and transfer of light truck resources are executed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively while maintaining compliance with all DWS and regulatory requirements. Skills & Abilities
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Management or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 3+ years in dispatch or operations type position

Oversee the management and maintenance of the entire fleet of light trucks and other fleet units.
Assign vehicles to crews, shop, and support personnel and update the applicable tracking and asset management platforms.
Ensure all DOT and DWS documentation including registrations, insurance cards, operation and incident procedures are up to date, and supervise routine maintenance and inspections.
Collaborate with regional departments to optimize fleet utilization based on demand. Develop and implement strategies to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
Lead compliance initiatives by managing data, conducting analyses, and overseeing regional, departmental, and unit specific reporting. Ensure driver and company adherence to all Federal and State regulations by presenting and reinforcing compliance standards at regional levels.
Continuously oversee and enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance across all operations.
Regularly monitor their drivers’ performances and identify bad driving habits, such as harsh braking, sharp cornering, and hard acceleration. Report findings and evidence of abuse or improper operations to your manager (VP of Fleet and Maintenance) and the appropriate regional department manager (i.e superintendents, managers, etc).
Maintain and regularly update fleet trackers and other relevant data management tools (e.g., Excel) to ensure accurate, real-time tracking of fleet performance and status.
Manage planning, data, and technology functions including fleet global positioning systems (GPS) and video surveillance and monitoring programs.
Assist with resolving issues regarding incident investigations and provide all support related to motor vehicles, equipment damage, or other HSE related incidents.
Manage any subordinates working in other regions to ensure they are compliant with any SOPs in regard to managing the light truck assets.
Mentor, guide and oversee the work of coordinators and any other positions within the light truck division.
Assist with the sourcing and negotiation during the procurement of new assets.
Assist with managing third-party vendors conducting maintenance or up fitting of light truck assets.
Assist with the auditing of internal processes and third-party vendors to ensure compliance to DWS QMS and legal requirements.
Assist with completion and review of risk assessments for new and revised procedures.
Work within and leverage key business systems and resources to effectively perform daily job duties (Salesforce, Microsoft office suite, etc.)
