Valid Michigan Electrician License at the Journeyman level or higher.

Responsibilities:


Electrical Installation

- Install and wire residential solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, and monitoring equipment.

- Interpret site plans and electrical schematics to ensure accurate installations.

- Perform electrical upgrades or modifications as needed for solar integration.

- Test and commission systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.


Compliance and Safety

- Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and utility requirements.

- Maintain clean, safe job sites in compliance with OSHA and company standards.


Troubleshooting and Collaboration

- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to wiring, inverters, or performance.

- Collaborate with crew leads and project teams to complete installations on schedule.


Customer Communication and Documentation

- Communicate effectively with homeowners to explain system function and answer questions.

- Complete required documentation for inspections and project records.

- Complete additional duties as assigned by manager.


Qualifications:

- 1+ years in the solar industry, preferred but not required.

- Knowledge with a wide range of residential solar products (inverters, modules, etc.)

- OSHA 10 certification or be able to obtain.

- Familiarity with solar inverters and monitoring systems.

- A valid US driver’s license is required. The driver's license must be active for a minimum of 4 years.

- A clean driving record is required (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 4 years).

- Experience in troubleshooting PV system performance issues.

- A background check will be performed on all new hires.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with internal and external groups.

- Ability to think critically, problem solve, and work in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficient in residential wiring, conduit bending, and panel upgrades.

Requirements:

- Prior experience in electrical work in the solar industry.

- Valid state-issued electrician license at the Journeyman level or higher.

- Complete solar projects in a timely manner.

- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and local electrical codes.

- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and site plans.

- Comfortable working on rooftops and in varying weather conditions.

- Strong commitment to job site safety and OSHA standards.

- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and safely use hand/power tools.

- Willingness to travel within the state as needed.
