Industrial Electrician Job Description
Infrastructure Engineering & Construction Inc, an industrial engineering & construction company is looking to hire Industrial Electricians to install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment, such as Motor control centers, Control panels, Transfers witches, Variable frequency drives, Distribution systems, SCADA systems etc…This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations.
The work can often be physically demanding. In order to install and repair equipment, they may need to crawl, climb, and stand for extended periods of time. They must also be able to operate tools, and heavy lifting equipment in close proximity to electrical components.
Candidates must be able to understand and make decisions based on engineering drawings, specification and national codes and regulations. Candidates must be motivated to work on their own and as part of a team. Ability to lead a team of journeymen and apprentice electricians is a must. Strong communication skills are a necessary part of this position.
Industrial Electrician Responsibilities:
•Install, repair, and maintain MCC, ATS, VFDs, SCADA systems and other control panels as needed.
•Install cabling, conduits, cable trays, splices and terminations as needed.
•Work as a team member, leader or Solo to complete projects.
•Observe safety procedures and meet electrical codes.
•Make decisions based on technical documents.
•Perform quality testing and inspections.
•Estimate electrical scope in a project by creating a detailed ‘Bill of Material’
•Assemble panels and motor control centers, as needed.
•Be a part of a multi craft team specializing in mechanical, electrical and minor civil works for water and waste water plants.
Experience & other Requirements:
•High School Diploma or GED.
•Journeyman Electrician License is a plus but not necessary.
•Apprentice license is mandatory.
•Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment such as pumps, motors etc.
•Awareness of NEC and NFPA codes, state, and local electrical regulations.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions.
•Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
•Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
•Experience working in water plants, wastewater plants, refineries, gas plants and power plants will be advantageous.
•Ability to travel extensively to project locations.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
