TransCanada Turbines (TCT) is the sole authorized overhaul, repair, and maintenance service provider for both Siemens Energy and General Electric (GE) aeroderivative industrial gas turbines, serving an expanding international client base. TCT is headquartered in Airdrie and operates an overhaul depot in Airdrie, a testing facility in Calgary, and three field service offices located across the USA and in the UK.

Summary

TransCanada Turbines (TCT) has a newly created Legal Counsel role to support a broad range of practice areas including but not limited to contracts, corporate compliance, corporate/commercial, policies and procedures, litigation. This is a generalist role for someone with the confidence and experience to provide a broad range of legal support across a dynamic, internationally focused business. This position will appeal to an individual with relevant years of in-house legal experience coupled with strong business acumen. As a trusted advisor you play an integral role within the business to provide guidance on legal matters.

Duties

Duties will include but will not be limited to the following:

+ Review, draft and negotiate Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) agreements. + Manage TCT’s Insurance Program (renewals, audits, certificates, Surety Bonds, etc.). + Legal/Commercial research. + Complete and manage compliance focused screening and monitoring system for TCT’s suppliers/vendors.
