Lead Propane Service Technician

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Propane Technician to join our service team in the Carlisle area! The right candidate will be doing installations, cleanings, and repair and maintenance to propane systems.

Required Skills:

· Provide service and customer support during field visits

· Provide on-site installation of tanks and regulators

· Perform gas check at time of tank installation/new customer move-in’s for proper operation

· Provide ‘Important Propane Safety Information’ Pamphlet to customer with explanations

· Provide general maintenance on equipment and propane lines

· Produce timely and detailed service reports and invoices

· Follow-up on incomplete service orders

· Operate vehicle and crane in a safe manner

· Comprehend customer requests and make appropriate recommendations

· Deliver cylinders to Out of Gas Customers

· Perform Out of Gas Safety Checks

· Provide customers with pilot lighting assistance on propane appliances

· Perform monthly Meter Readings

· Perform routine maintenance at the yard/storage locations

· Perform home visit checks for collection purposes

· Work closely and professionally with Owners, Managers, Drivers, Service Technicians and Office Personnel

· Provide excellent and professional customer service

· Assist with other job duties as assigned

Physical Abilities:

· Able to Climb Ladders/Stairs

· Able to Crouch for Long Periods of Time

· Able to work in Small Spaces

· Able to lift 50lbs

Able to work limited weekend shifts throughout certain times of the year.

Eventually be able to work scheduled on-call shifts.

Must have a valid driver’s license

Must be able to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

Experience preferred but would train the right candidate.

· CDL-B with HAZMAT/TANKER endorsements

· HVAC, Electrical, CTEP Training (can provide after employment if necessary)

· Track Pipe Certificate a plus

· Knowledge of underground and above ground vapor and liquid gas piping is a plus
