Lead Field Installer/welder

Mile High Metal Works, Inc. has been in business for 25+ years and are excited about the opportunities ahead of us. We are a misc. metal fabrication and powder coating shop in Frederick, Colorado, providing structural steel, balconies, stairs, and various other items to jobs across the state. MHMW is seeking experienced Lead Field Installers for structural steel and miscellaneous metals.

Requirements:

- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a leadership role

- Field experience is a must. Minimum 2 years.

- Recent experience with construction and material handling equipment (forklift, manlift, etc.)

- Must have a clean driving record

- Must be able to work up to 10-hour days beginning at 7:00 a.m. (Schedule may fluctuate)

- Able to pass welding procedures certifications for 3G/4G SMAW

- Able to interpret steel details and shop drawings.

- Due to the importance of safety in this position, all applicants must be fluent in English. Fluency requires the ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.

- Welding and fabrication skills are required, no on-site training is available.

- Must pass a pre-employment physical

Responsibilities:

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment

- Must be willing to respond to multiple tasks as required.

- Develop a positive working relationship with job site personnel

- Coordinate daily tasks according to priority and deadlines, and be able to make changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel

- Interpret and utilize construction methods and technologies along with various types of technical drawings.

- Regularly report project status to Field superintendent, project managers, administrators and other officials by maintaining a daily log for the job site’s operations and progress.

- Maintain quality standards for all work performed within the company and job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
