Location: San Dimas, CA (On‑site, Full‑Time)

About the Role

Edison Power Constructors, a Primoris Company, is seeking an experienced Lead Estimator to oversee every phase of our cost‑estimating process for transmission and distribution projects. You’ll review drawings and specifications, conduct thorough site assessments, develop accurate cost proposals, and partner closely with project managers and clients to ensure our bids remain competitive and comprehensive.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the end‑to‑end estimating process for overhead and underground transmission & distribution work

• Analyze architectural, structural, and electrical plans and specifications to identify scope and quantities

• Perform field visits in the San Dimas, CA area to verify site conditions and collect data for estimates

• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, complete bid packages, and value‑engineering options

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify assumptions and resolve inquiries

• Ensure adherence to Edison Power Constructors’ estimating standards and best practices

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in the utility or heavy‑civil construction industry

• Proven ability to read, interpret, and quantify project drawings and specifications

• Strong analytical mindset with exceptional problem‑solving skills

• Deep familiarity with construction means, methods, and materials

• Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to build rapport across internal teams and external clients

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience

• Experience with B2W estimating software and formal project management practices is highly desirable
