Customer facing staff responsible for winning business. Jobs at this level operate with some autonomy but are covered by well-defined Commercial policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (typically annual volume, margin and compliance requirements). Responsible for medium-sized sales territories.
Power Conversion and Storage business works closely with end users in energy-intense industrial applications. We focus on offering integrated electrical systems. A strategy aligned to three major macro trends: Power Stability, Energy Storage and Industrial Electrification.
- Design technical solutions using PLCs, I/O systems, and operator stations
- Create network drawings for devices, switches, and hubs.
- Build systems for process control and data logging.
- Review customer RFPs and develop risk-mitigated technical solutions.
- Write detailed technical proposals.
- Create RFQ specifications for software packages, PLCs, servers, PCs and other hardware.
- Evaluate bids and handle costing with our sourcing team.
- Identify project risks and create mitigation plans.
- Support field engineering by estimating costs for startup and commissioning.
- Sell technical solutions to customers in sectors like Metals and similar industries.
- Help manage the commercial risk process.
- Work with 3rd party partners to find new growth opportunities.
- Optimize solutions to improve project margins.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or) Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years technical experience of some of the processes utilized in GEV’s major markets such as rolling mills and process lines for the metals market.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically within country and abroad as needed by the business up to 30% of time
- Strong track record of working with cross-functional teams.
- Well-rounded business acumen – commercial, technical and program execution skills.
- Knowledge of various power conversion solutions available in the market across various industries.
- Strong time management skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs.
- Strong coordination and influencing skills.
- Knowledge of customer financial drivers / needs.
- Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools (CMS, Excel, etc.).
- Strong oral and written communication skills
