Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring customer accounts are billed timely and accurately and Customer Service performance metrics are achieved. Communicates and collaborates with multiple business areas leveraging strong billing knowledge to ensure billing requirements are met and inquiries from various stakeholders are resolved. Leads the work for the Billing Team and coordinates and assigns work as needed, may assist with projects, responsible for monthly bill review and price change testing.
- Leads and oversees work in Customer Billing including but not limited to Net Energy billing, monthly bill review, price change testing and cycle billing ensuring Customer Service performance targets/Billing SQIs are met.
- Prepares and maintains billing process documents and job aids and performs training and assistance as needed.
• Assists with scheduling work assignments within the Billing Team and coordinates work based on workload volume, meeting SQI requirements, and revenue impact. •Provides leadership in the Billing group, identifies and initiates requests for billing error resolution and enhancements creating BS&S/Jira requests and working with business tester through resolution.
- Responsible for the review and reconciliation of customer billing including Net Energy billing, out of balance, exception errors ensuring accuracy and timeliness of customer bills.
- Effectively communicates with Billing Team, Customer Service and multiple business areas on billing and customer inquiries utilizing strong knowledge of billing and Net Energy billing.
- Assists with projects on an as needed basis, duties may include business requirements analysis, general design development, creating and performing test cases, product implementation, verification of testing and production support on implementation.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree with 3 years of related customer billing experience is preferred
- Proficiency in Excel, Word
