Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader to join our team! If you are a hard-working, a team player, and dedicated to performing quality work in all that you do this is the position for you.
You will maintain grounds by performing a variety of tasks, including mowing, trimming, edging, with the goal of creating beautiful and well-groomed lawn for our customers.
In this department you are responsible for preparing and driving company equipment, directing, and developing their crews to ensure quality work is performed, caring for equipment, and ensuring safety. In addition to leadership responsibilities, this is a hands-on position which allows you to take full ownership in accomplishing the work in the field.
Responsibilities:•Supervise and train maintenance crews on all aspects of lawn maintenance services.
•Mowing, raking, digging, and weeding of commercial properties landscapes.
•Load and unload heavy equipment from trucks.
•Time management for daily workload assigned to you.
•Plan, coordinate, and collect equipment each day.
•Attend and participate in crew and department general and safety meetings.
•Prepare timesheets and other daily paperwork as required by the company.
•Safe driving of company owned vehicles trucks (with or without trailers) and transporting crew members.
Safe operation and maintenance of the following lawn equipment:
•Mowers - Push, walk behind and ride varying in sizes.
•Edgers and string trimmers
•Hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes and pruning tools.
Required Skills:
•Ability to bend, squat and lift on a continual basis
•Ability to work outside in all weather conditions for an extended period
•Must be able to work with minimal supervision
•Must wear sturdy shoes, company uniforms, and assigned PPE
•Must present yourself in a professional, polite manner
•Must practice safety with equipment
•Must wear company-provided eye and ear protection as required
•Must have valid MI Driver's license and maintain a good driving record (CDL preferred)
•Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others
•Must comply with Belbot Services policies and procedures
