Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for outdoor work and a strong commitment to maintaining beautiful landscapes. This role involves various tasks related to landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, and general labor, contributing to the aesthetic appeal and functionality of outdoor spaces.

Duties

•

Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.

•

Assist in the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.

•

Utilize hand tools and machinery for digging, planting, and building garden beds or other landscape features.

•

Conduct snow plowing during winter months to maintain accessibility of properties.

•

Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and equipment used in landscaping activities.

•

Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines.

•

Monitor plant health and assist in the application of fertilizers or pest control measures as needed.

Skills

•

Strong knowledge of groundskeeping practices and landscape maintenance techniques.

•

Proficiency in using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and power equipment like lawnmowers and trimmers.

•

Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues is preferred.

•

Ability to irrigate effectively, ensuring plants receive adequate water without over-saturation.

•

Experience in mowing lawns and maintaining garden areas for optimal appearance.

•

Capability to dig holes for planting or other landscaping needs efficiently.

•

Familiarity with building landscape features such as retaining walls or garden beds is a plus.

•

Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
