As a Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader, you will oversee a team responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces. Reporting to the Landscape Manager, your core skills in landscape maintenance and supervising experience will be essential in ensuring high-quality work. You will utilize your premium skills in leadership and your relevant expertise in lawn care, tree care, and irrigation to foster a productive work environment. Proficiency in English and Spanish will enhance communication within the team and with clients, contributing to the overall success of our landscaping projects.
Requirements:
- Fulfill all requirements of the "Landscape Maintenance Laborer II position."
- Maintain physical fitness level necessary to complete assigned job tasks.
- Able to manage time, and spend the appropriate times at each property
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Able to speak, read and write in English.
- Able to manage a crew of up to 3 laborers
- Demonstrate ability to train and delegate work to others.
- Familiar with company manual and policies contained and set forth, include safety guidelines/standards.
- Use assigned tools and equipment in proper/safe manner.
- Familiar with company's Maintenance Program and Guidelines.
- Completed training for the application of chemicals.
- Understand basic irrigation principles and demonstrate ability to affect all routine irrigation repairs.

Skills:
- Operate a chain saw.
- Able to manage time, and spend the appropriate times at each property
- Able to understand and use a root feeder fertilizer applicator.
- Prune fruit trees, citrus plants, and perennial flowering shrubs (evergreen and deciduous).
- Able to identify all components of irrigation systems.
- Use pesticide application equipment demonstrating the proper application techniques.
- Identify the proper procedure for transporting and storing pesticides.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the proper procedure for emergency spill cleanup.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the basic elements of fertilizers.
- Use of safety equipment in the proper manner.
- Participation in training program for basic pest control procedures.
- Able to identify by common name 5 broadleaf weeds in turf grass.
- Communicate with lead people progress of tasks.
- Able to meet company production rates and standards.
- Oversee daily landscape maintenance activities, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- Supervise and train crew members in proper landscaping techniques and safety protocols.
- Manage lawn care, tree care, and irrigation tasks to maintain healthy grounds.
