City Wide Property Services, Inc. currently has an opening for a Landscape Crew Lead to join our expanding team in the Sacramento area!
For two and a half decades, City Wide has been an industry leader in providing reliable, first-class maintenance, repairs, and day-to-day upkeep for commercial properties throughout the Western United States.
Responsibilities
•Must be able to take direction, lead, delegate, train, and support others in a positive and patient manner.
•Responsible for efficiently and effectively managing themselves and two or more crew members at their site.
•Works as a member of the crew in the completion of their daily service schedule while meeting or exceeding all quality standards set forth by the company.
•Ensures that all tasks completed by all employees are done in the safest way possible and while all personnel are using and wearing all the required PPE for that task.
•Consistently communicate with management both verbally and via the company Portal, their site conditions and completion status of their work.
•Identifying and communicating more effective and efficient ways to complete their work.
•Bringing any client concerns to the attention of their direct supervisor or manager while assisting in correcting those concerns.
•Maintains all assigned equipment and notifies mechanic of any needed repairs.
•Lead, train, direct, and inspect the work of their landscape crew to ensure services are completed at each job site safely, efficiently, and while always meeting company quality standards.
•Manage, prioritize, and effectively complete all contracted services while staying within the allocated amount of time they have been scheduled for each of their properties.
•Maintain the health and appearance of grass, bushes, trees, and shrubs while using powered equipment such as walk-behind and ride-on mowers, tractors, blowers, hedge-trimmers, line-trimmers, chain saws, and pole saws
•Perform tasks including mowing, edging, blowing, weeding, and application of fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides.
•Conduct monthly inspections and provide detailed reports on the condition of landscapes.
•Conduct visual inspections of their properties while identifying, taking photos of, and reporting any suspected irrigation deficiencies in the landscapes. Examples being- overly wet, dry and stressed lawn areas or shrub beds; signs of a water leak or standing water; actively running water in the irrigation system, etc.
•Ensure the safe use of and performance of all equipment and performance of Enforce the use of uniforms and adhere to OSHA safety guidelines to ensure crew safety.
•Communicate landscape site concerns and provide retraining where necessary, documenting incidents appropriately.
•Daily upload of landscape service photos at all sites into company Portal to provide visual documentation of site conditions and all completed work.
•Complete and submit accurate Inspection forms for Vehicle, Trailer, and equipment issued to and under your care.
•Utilize company phone and software tools for communication, including emails, Teams chat, and Portal usage.
•Perform other duties as assigned by management.
•Landscape industry (CLCA, DPR) certifications are a plus
•Assist in training new landscape laborers to ensure their work performance meets company standards.
Additional Requirements
•3 Years prior gardening or landscaping experience is required.
•Lead experience in a landscaping setting is preferred.
•Basic plant identification and care
•Proficiency in safe operation, basic repair, and maintenance of all machines and tools used in landscape maintenance.
•Clear driving record. (Motor Vehicle Record required)
•Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions.
•Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
•Prior experience operating heavy machinery, preferably landscape or similar equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
