The Land Tech will play a pivotal role in supporting land operations within Arch Energy Management, LLC by providing technical expertise and hands-on support for land acquisition, management, and administration. This position will require an individual to manage and coordinate tasks related to land rights, agreements, title work, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate both technical proficiency and a strong understanding of oil and gas land operations.
•Support land acquisition and divestment processes.
•Manage lease records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
•Maintain and organize land files, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
•Maintain accurate records within the land management system and related databases.
•Assist with the preparation of land-related reports, status updates, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
•Support Landman with title research to determine ownership of land rights and resolve ownership disputes.
•Prepare and review title opinions, title curative documents, and other necessary title-related paperwork.
•Draft, review, and manage agreements such as lease assignments, surface use agreements, and joint venture agreements.
•Interface with operators, governmental bodies, and industry stakeholders to resolve land-related matters.
•Ensure all land-related operations comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
•Assist with preparation of regulatory filings and reports to government agencies as needed.
•Track land activity to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory policies, and timelines.
•Provide regular updates to management on land status, negotiations, and asset performance.
•Utilize land mapping software, GIS tools, and other resources to analyze and report on land data and activity.
•Work closely with internal teams, including legal, finance, and engineering, to provide land-related support and resolve issues.
Education & Experience:
•Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Land Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•1-3 years of experience in land administration, land management, or related field in the oil and gas industry.
Technical Skills:
•Proficient in land management software (e.g., Quorum, P2 Land, or similar platforms).
•Experience using GIS and mapping tools for land-related tasks.
•Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis and reporting.
