Land Maintenance Supervisor

Business Title:  Land Maintenance Supervisor

Reports to:        Regional O&M Supervisor/O&M Manager

Responsibilities

·      Keeps safety and environment as the number one priority and utilizes PPE when required.

·      Supervises and directs a labor crew according to plan as created with management.

·      Manage 3

party vegetation contractors and contracts.

·      Provides planning and implementation of vegetation management plans.

·      Tracks work via CMMS work order management system and provides weekly reports.

·      Identifies areas that require additional attention.

·      Executes on washing panels utilizing panel washing equipment.

·      Performs land maintenance functions as related to vegetation including pulling weeds, mowing, raking, sweeping, and cleaning.

·      Operates landscaping equipment including sitting mowers, push mowers and other required land maintenance equipment.

·      Recognizes process improvements and communicates them to Management.

·      Applies over the counter chemicals (e.g. Round Up, fertilizer, etc) as directed.

·      Ability to utilize computer systems to manage CMMS and reporting.

·      Manage a crew of 4-6 direct reports

·      Maneuvering trailers and transporting heavy machinery safely.

·      Mowing equipment maintenance.

·      Valid State Driver’s License.

Education/Experience

·      Possess high school diploma or GED.

·      3 years of supervising experience.

·      UVM (Utility Vegetation Management) certification

Working Conditions

·      Outdoor work at solar and battery storage power plants that includes some windy, dusty, cold and high heat conditions.

·      Requires standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs and ladders, and entering plant equipment to access, inspect, or collect data on plant equipment

·      Requires use of personal protective safety equipment (respirators, safety glasses, hard hat, appropriate footwear, ear plugs, etc.)

·      May be required to work around rotating and energized equipment, hazardous materials and chemicals

·      Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities.

·      Performs other duties as assigned.

·      Work overtime and non-standard working hours as required.

·      Occasional travel in CA.
